Shortly after I could feel that water had made its way thru my gators and had soaked both of my boots. All of this was made worse by the fact that the trail was now flooding from the extreme amounts of rain.

I could see the rocks below hurtling toward me with increasing speed, and realized there was nothing I could do to stop my descent, and that I was likely going to break my legs or even die.

ran down grabbed my emergency bail bag and the ACR EPIRB from the wall and threw them into the Inflatable dinghy. I lowered the dinghy, jumped in and untied from my sailboat and pushed away. After the boat's last mast antenna submerged I gathered my thoughts of what just happened.
