What happened?

The previous day I  had hiked for 8 hours over a mountain pass on a very hot day. Despite drinking lots I became dizzy and vomited when I reached the hut. A nurse, also tramping, helped me recover. On this day I continued hiking but after an hour became dizzy and was unable to continue. People with me activated my beacon.

Words of wisdom

After being unwell the day before, I should have stayed at the hut for a day to recover rather than continuing

Thank you note

Thanks for the beacon which worked perfectly. I have had it for nearly 5 years and done a lot of tramping in that time, and never needed it. It was great to know that it worked when I did!
