2023 moved so quickly and there were so many events that occurred in all of our lives. Below is a small selection of inspiring stories of individuals who relied on ACR survival equipment during life-threatening situations. From treacherous hikes to maritime emergencies, these survivors share their experiences and emphasize the critical role that ACR’s safety and rescue technology played in their remarkable journeys to safety.

These real-life accounts demonstrate the value of being prepared with the right gear when adventure takes an unexpected turn.

A 22-year-old Australian sailor, embarked on a daring mission to break a world record by circumnavigating Australia in 50 days. His journey took an unexpected turn when his yacht collided with a massive sunfish, partially capsizing it and leaving him injured. Stranded in the Great Australian Bight, Xavier activated his ResQLink AIS PLB to signal for help.

HIKER SURVIVES 40FT FALL AT THE WAIPIO VALLEY THANKS TO THE RESQLINK 410 RLS

In September 2023, our group embarked on a challenging hike in Hawaii. Facing treacherous conditions and a lost backpack, one member’s fall added to the predicament. Thankfully, an ACR ResQLink 410 PLB was activated, summoning rescue teams who performed a life-saving helicopter extraction, reminding us of the importance of preparedness and rescue equipment in the wild.
