What happened?
My crew and I (a young swiss couple were exploring uninhabited islands in remote South Pacific. We were hanging off the lee side of Flint island for about 2 weeks, and suddenly woke up in the wash of the reef at 3 am. The boat was immediately thrown up onto the reef. We activated the Epirb and sent emails to my contacts apprising situation. Copas/Sarsat informed JRCC junea ak, who in turn informed JRCC tahiti and we were able to communicate via sat email with them. They dispatched a French Navy fisheries patrol vessel which arrived 3 days later and plucked us off beach.

Words of wisdom
Always be prepared for the unexpected
Thank you note
This is actually the second time this epirb rescued me, the fact I salvaged from the first and kept with me (with a new battery) is a testament to my faith in this excellent product. THANKS
